    Question about Quick Time

My wife needed to edit a video from her I Phone so we downloaded Quick Time Pro. Now i read on the net to remove it. What is the problem? If it is bad is there something that can take it's place?

Apple is no longer going to patch QuickTime on Windows systems. And there have been two security vulnerabilities discovered which won't be patched. It's up to you whether you want to keep it installed. I haven't had it on my systems for over a year now.
Apple are still supporting it on Macs but I'm guessing eventually that will also reach its end of life and no longer be updated. Should be okay on Apple devices until they stop supporting it.

Here are some free video editors you could try:

There is nothing wrong with Quicktime. You will just not get any more updates.

QT if ok if you know your source, which you do (unless you don't trust your wife but I wont go there).

Just be sure that QT is not enabled in your browser(s).
