    Rufus Download

I was getting ready to download Rufus but wondered if I should use the Portable or Installer Version? Is there any difference with functionality?

    Thanks, Nasty7

Both executables are identical. There really isn't an installed version.

    From the Rufus site:

Download the executable and run it – no installation is necessary.

Thanks for the knowledge guys, just trying to get it all right with my new Install with new SSD!

Do any of you guys use this for Linux also? If so, are there any advantages to it over Universal USB Installer or Unetbootin? I understand it is superior for Windows type apps and Windows Install Media, but would this be the same/similar to Linux?

    Hi,
I've never used it for a linux installer
    I use universal linux installer
    It's listed on this tutorial

Thanks ThrashZone, that is what I use now in Windows UUI. I believe Rufus has more options that I will have to study up on.
