    eaccessviolation error when loading software

I am receiving an error when loading parts of DipTrace as follows - "Exception EAccessViolation in module Schematic.exe" then a lot of numbers and memory address. I have tried everything I can find but no fix. I upgraded to Windows 10 pro but I had the same error as with Windows 7 pro. I am now back to Windows 7. I have tried the DipTrace forum with no fix. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled three times. I have installed it in a different location. I have disabled my virus scanner (bitdefender) and I have also tried Windows defender. Running the program as administrator did not work. I have searched the internet and noticed the problem also occurs with other software but could not find a fix. Has anybody come across this error?
    Thanks
    Peter

One thread for the exact problem should be more than enough.

I look at that website. DipTrace is quite a program.
Are you trying the Trial, Free or Paid for version?

This might help. Take a read through this tutorial by Brink.

    Take Ownership Shortcut

Because the DipTrace forum can't help, that is all I can think of.

Thanks Layback, that worked. DipTrace has four components that are normally started from a launcher. If I start the launcher using the Take Ownership method then each of the four components start properly. Is there a way to start the launcher from the task bar using the Take Ownership method?
    Thanks again

    Great!
The program is way over my head but I do believe that with the proper education and training it would be great program.
