Is System Mechanic Pro better than windows defender?

    Is System Mechanic Pro better than windows defender?


    And should I disable windows defender? I'm having a problem with it and it's using a lot of CPU. Thank you.

    I doubt if you will get many recommendations on this forum to use System Mechanic at all--irrespective of any comparison to Windows Defender.

    The standard recommendation is to use Windows tools to maintain Windows, with possible exceptions for anti-virus.

    However, I'll grant you that using other tools can lower anxiety levels in the obsessive--whether or not they are "better".

    Thanks. Temporarily disabling windows defender fixed my issue. I'll have to find some way around it
