Failed Installation of Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 Pro

    Hey everything,

Although i've been a lurker on these forums for quite some time, this will be the first post that I make here.

I recently purchased two computers which were given me issues with a windows update. After searching the interwebs I came across and article with a solution which required to first uninstall internet explorer 11.

I followed this link to complete this Internet Explorer 11 - Uninstall in Windows 7

More precisely option 2 via elevated command prompt.

Since then I've been attempting to reinstall Internet Explorer 11 and every time the installation gets almost completed it will fail. Now since I don't have any Internet Explorer's installed I am unable to even view the event logs to gather more information.

These are some things that I've done so far

    1. Ran windows updates in hopes that I would find Internet Explorer 11 to install
    2. In programs and features I attempted to Turn on Internet Explorer 8 however this does nothing. If I select it and unselect it I get prompted that the computer will apply some changes which it then spends about 5-6 minutes doing at which point it will ask for a reboot. Once rebooted im still left with nothing.
    3. I attempted to install the offline version of Internet Explorer 11 downloaded from the microsoft website, I've even tried with the /update-no option and It will still fail.
    4. I've downloaded numerous tools from Microsoft to see if they could "fix" the issue with fail every time.
    5. Ive deleted the SoftwareDistrubition folder in the C:/Winows/x directory

It's been almost 4-5 days that I've been trying everything I could think of short from reinstalling the OS with everything leading to failure.

I'm hoping some of the great minds here could weigh in with some other things that I may be able to try in order to fix this issue

If anyone could think of anything please let me know!

    Hi Xirgo,
if you have the >>correct set of << discs, PRO and ???, you could try a repair install,
    NO loss of personal data.
    Repair Install

If not please run this tool on BOTH systems, copy paste the results,
if the results come back good, i'l post link(s) for them
