Another added choice, one could pick.

    Ladyback,

    a) That is data recovery, not partition recovery.

    b) Free version only allows recovery of 1gb data.

Free partition manager that includes partition recovery:
Download Magic Free Partition Manager Software - AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard

I installed MiniTool Partition Wizard free 10.0 and AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition 6.1 (free)
One feature difference i see in the free versions:
With AOMEI free i can create bootable media
With Partition Wizard free i can't create bootable media, need the paid version for this

I understand that the new Edition MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition v10 will not write the partitions found to sector 0, unless you buy a license. That puts an end to one of the most used free utilities for Partition Recovery.

If you have the older version v9.1, please retain it or retain the installation file.

    Having installed v 10, I have now found a site from where I could download v 9.1. I am yet to remove v 10 and install the v 9.1.

( Of course as DavidE said we can use the AOMEI software but we are used to PW)

I always save the installation files of downloaded programs. New versions aren't always better than the older ones.

    Good info.
I have the v9.1 miniTool installation and the boot ISO. I'll be keeping them.
I may buy the v10+ versions on a needs basis in the future because it is a good tool.
