    Supported Input Sources:
Handbrake can process most common multimedia files and any DVD or BluRay sources that do not contain any kind of copy protection.
Maybe your DVD's have some form of copyright protection, I'm sure somebody else will be along with suggestions.

    Hi,
I believe all commercial dvd's have copyrights :)
Time you state what exactly you're attempting to do and with what exactly.
Converting a commercial dvd I believe that is ripping so you can save the file to the computer to convert it into something else ?
Or you have downloaded some movies........ ?

if Handbrake cannot do it then most of them will not, imo. Check with the gurus at videohelp.com.

The DVD movies are not on a physical DVD. They are movies I have downloaded from the internet.

Prolly not what you are interested in, but:

(dvd) *.vob files can simply be renamed to (*).mpg, wallah! they are now mpg files! O' course you loose subtitles, chapters etc. I have done this & then convert mpg to mp3 to get music from dvds, , , ,
