How can I send a view-only document online, whose access expires?

Id like to be able to share a PDF with someone online, that they cannot download or screenshot and only have access to for a pre-determined period of time.

Is there any way to do this?

I think the professional versions of Adobe Acrobat have something like this, but I'm not 100% sure. I've run across these kinds of Adobe documents at work, so I would assume that thei high end Acrobat packages have this function.

Sorry I can be more help.

It's not possible to do so, not entirely at least.

The fundamental problem is that, to share anything, they're already downloading it in order to view it, so if they really want, they can always have it. Preventing a screenshot is, of course, totally impossible, you can't simply block "alt+print screen" on a computer that's not yours (and much less avoid someone using their phone camera on the screen).

Having the download expire after a time is somewhat possible. Some websites offer such a service (and it's not that effective actually), and most important, you can upload your file to some website and delete when you no longer want it to be public. But you can't prevent download while it's active.

The most important question would be, what do you want to achieve with this?

My guess is the protection of intellectual property -- which other posters pointed out is impossible to enforce under the current conditions the thread starter is working with.

    Hi,
Nothing can't be screen shot :)
Doubt anything can expire unless you use onedrive or similar = view only... permissions
I doubt it would stop downloading it but onedrive is weird you'd just have to test the permissions settings then move the file which would break the link you shared to the file.
