Interesting Findings in Win 7 date formatting

Hi,
I noticed windows will automatically change the date format once or twice per year, and it happens shortly after the change of day light savings.

It impacted "FXCM HDD Basic" that automatically download data where its date format was changed from %d/%m/%Y to %m-%d-%Y

Other than that, it also affected the date format from command prompt where previously the date was in MM-DD-YYYY was changed to YYYY-MM-DD.

My languange regional settings are set to English (Malaysia) and had never changed it but this situation happens surprisingly.

Hope someone can highlight possible patches for the system.
Thanks.
Tham

Date format using space as date separator rather than forward slash!
Hi all, I'm new to Windows 7 (Home Premium 32-bit) and I just can't figure out what's going on here! Basically I want my short date format to be dd/mm/yyyy (UK format) e.g. 05/11/2010, but when I key a date into Excel 2002 it is appearing as 05 11 2010. In Control Panel I have the short date...
