    Software Install quirk

I upgraded from Vista while the computer was logged in to my wife's log-in.

But I've since discovered a small handful of programmes that won't install in my log-in. The install aborts with a useless error message.
But they do install if I try in my wife's log-in.
Examples are Paint.net and Microsoft Uninstaller.

I created a new log-in and profile for myself after the upgrade and deleted the old one. My wife's is original.
Does this mean that not all Admin accounts are equal?

Yes. But what interests me is that my wife's permissions and mine are different in some subtle way, yet they are both the same type of log-in, in theory.
