    Blank (Paper Sheet) Folder Icons

Not sure what caused this, but SOME folder Icons appear as blank sheets of paper. I have done a restore but it has not resolved the problem. I bought this laptop from someone, so I cannot do a fresh install as I do not have the disks for Win 7 Starter.

Right click on one of the "blank" icons and see what the properties are -- specifically, what it is trying to run. Is that where the program is actually located? If not, then that is why the icon is blank -- it can't find the program. You can fix the icon by browsing to where the program is actually located and pointing it there, to the program.

As far as some of them being blank, is it possible that all of these are trying to find programs that are on a network drive, and the network drive is currently unavailable?

Basically 3 folders within my Pictures folder. They are not programs. They contain pictures and documents.

You can right-click on a folder and then select any icon you want for that folder.
