Windows 7: Firefox (and other programs) taking a long time to open.

Firefox (and other programs) taking a long time to open.

Lately, my computer has started taking forever to open programs, most notably Firefox. Others may take a minute or two to open, but Firefox takes over 10 minutes (maybe partly due to the number of tabs, but still...). Once they are open, they seem to be fine, except for the occasional "Not Responding" which resolves itself after a bit.

I tried searching for solutions, but nothing seemed to match my situation. One solution was to disable Shadow Volume Copy, which is already disabled on my machine, and there were several registry solutions, but I didn't have those registry entries.

I followed the instructions at WinHelpOnline (http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/pr...erate-log-file) to generate a log file when opening Firefox (attached). I was wondering if anyone could help me decipher it.

It also seems to be affecting installing/uninstalling programs as well, since when I tried to reinstall Firefox (for example, thinking this might be the issue), and the installer started hanging. I have also attached the log file from that.

This may be coincidental in timing, but it happened just after replacing my C drive with a larger drive by cloning my C drive and then using a partition manager to extend the partition.

I'm not sure what other information might be needed. Just let me know and I'll provide it.

Recycling a movie from my harddrive is taking long long time.
Why is this. Like 10 minutes plus and it still says recycling. It should only take a second. Is it bad to let it continue at its own pace or should I restart the PC and try it again?
