IrfanView - New Version Released

IrfanView 4.51 is now available.

Support has been extending over the years for video and audio files. Just a short list of them: WAV, AVI, WMA, WMV, MPG, MPEG, MP3, MID and many others (keep in mind that for some video and audio files like RA or MOV, MP4 - Real Player/Apple® Quicktime® required).

You didn't mention that it also does editing, not as much as PaintShopPro or PhotoShop, but enough for most purposes. I've used it about 15 years.

Only the 32Bit version does editing the 64 bit is incompatible with the add-on used

My 64 does editing just fine. If there are add-ons missing, I didn't notice it.

Sorry, it is just the paint option/toolbar that is not compatible with the 64 bit version - just checked with V4.50 and V4.50 x64 unless it's been corrected in 4.51

I grabbed that description from elsewhere.

I don't use IrfanView for editing, I use GIMP.
I do use the batch conversion/resizing tools though. :)

I can use the Paint toolbar in v. 4.50 for 64. Reminds me of the MS Paint program before MS screwed it up. I also like the thumbnail feature, where I can sort my images into folders.

If you consider they're free, Irfanview and Gimp are great programs.
