win7-64 won't install some .exe files I have used before
I have started to get--"this file is not compatible with this version of windows, check to see if you need a 32 bit or 64 bit version of this program." error. when I have tried to install an .exe file. These files are files that I have had, and installed, and used, for several years, ever since I installed win7-64-ult. It tells me about 50% of the files I know are good, (last time I used them), are now not usable., and yet the program is still install on the computer, and working.
Is my SSD by Samsung going bad, and losing files that should be there to use to install these .exe files and programs. Explorer reports the file size as being the right size for these files, but tells me it is wrong, like I'm trying to do a 32 bit install or a 64 bit machine, or the other way around. Don't understand it.
