Do you have any specific registry errors?

There is no "best app" for registry, most of them will at some point do wrong thing and some of your programs may not work correctly. But if you just want an application to clean the registry, CCleaner may be the best, as it is not aggresive in doing it.

None. A word of advice, don't use any app to fix the registry, it won't fix it, instead it will corrupt lots of files.

I've found CCleaner to be too aggressive at times. It also invades your computer like a virus. It's gotten worse since Avast acquired it. It does have a good disk wiper I used to use but I would not leave it installed on my computer. When I would install it to wipe a disk, I had to go through and disable everything except the disk wiper. I would then install it when done. Since I now use only SSDs, I will never use it again.

Glary Utilities has a non-aggressive and non-invasive Registry cleaner that will clean out registry entries left over from removed programs, temp files that are no longer needed, etc. along with a few other utilities you can choose from (most of which I don't use). I've been using it for years without any problems.

Well, lets just agree - there is no best app. It is true that it invades your computer, Avast did some significant changes to the software and the installation. If you aren't careful when installing CCleaner, you will probably install Avast Free Antivirus, which will make problems if you have 2nd AV. I personally doesn't have it installed, but used it rare times.

Don't fix what isn't broken. Old registry entries don't do any harm or slow down the computer. Removing things that some registry cleaner thinks aren't in use when they are, WILL cause problems
