All these Versions of "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" Needed?

Right now, I have 16 different versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable installed on my system;

-4 from 2005
-7 from 2008
-2 from 2010
-1 from 2012
-1 from 2013
-1 from 2015

My question is; Are all these needed. Should I be removing the old ones?

Typically the various versions are added when programs needing them are installed. If you remove them, the programs that need that version may no longer function properly. You can uninstall them if you wish and reinstall if a program requires it but since they take up very little space, I, personally, would leave the alone.
