    System cleaning software for Win-7

I often use 2 programs to clean a Win-7 System: CCleaner and Glary Utilities pro
I never do a scan for Registry-errors and now i have the following question?

Is it possible to use Ccleaner and/or Glary Utilities to do a Registry-error scan and not to repair these errors, but make a printable listing of the errors that are detected
So i can use this error-report to print it and examine it further on

How can i use these programs to create such a printable report?
    Thanks.

The best advice I can give you is to not mess about with trying to clean the registry, any miniscule gains you may gain are not worth the risk that the cleaner will be over aggressive and end up making things worse, possibly to the level of requiring a fresh install of windows.

The old saying of "if it ain't Broke don't fix it" could have been written as a warning against Registry Cleaners

If you have an individual error in the registry that is causing an issue then you may be able to use Regedit to edit and fix the data

Most registry cleaners will clean empty entries in an attempt to read the registry quicker on boot - the savings are at mostly not noticable

    Barman58, Thanks for your advice.
So i will not clean the Registry.
I was only currious about the source and meaning of all these errors these programs are reporting
    Thanks again

Not sure of Glary Utilities but CCleaner has two phases, analyse and Fix, I think, (Not certain of the name of the option in the registry cleaner part)

If you just run the first stage this will give you a list of things the program believes are incorrect in some way, you should be able to run down this list but I'm not sure if there is a simple way to print out the data

In the past i installed and removed some programs with the Add/Remove function of Win-7
But i used Ccleaner and Glary Utilities to see if there are leftovers of these programs i removed
And i see there are a lot of these leftovers, and i want them to remove manualy

So i want to do a Ccleaner-scan to detect registry-errors and want to make an error-report on paper, so i can look for these leftovers
But the problem is that i want to print these error-list for later use, but i dont know how i can make this print with Ccleaner and/or Glary Utilities

It is not my intention to clear all the detected errors, but only the leftovers from the programs i installed and deleted myself

I have been a long time user of Revo Uninstaller, I use the Pro version that can actually monitor an install and create a full removal script, the free version does not have this feature but does have access to the install data for most of the more common applications in use on windows so it can do a better job of removal of all parts of an install.

It has three phases, first it removes the application, using the applications, own uninstaller, it then scans the file systems and the registry for all items that relate to the applications installation.

it also has a final phase where it performs a deep scan and tries to remove every last bit of the old installation, This is a dangerous to an extent so I only suggest it's use for those installs that are causing serious issues (Blue Screens, and preventing other installs), and then only after a full backup of system and data.

It may be worthwhile you downloading the freeware version for future use, You could take a look at the pro version free trial if you wish to see how it copes with your problem programs that cause issues even after uninstall
