Windows 7 Desktop Software Install/uninstall (State) Manager

    Hello,
I am looking for a Windows 7 desktop program that will ...

    1) Monitor a Software Program as it is installed.
    2) Restore the system to the EXACT condition it was in before the software was installed.

The problem I'm having is that the stock "Program and features" application is to Generalized
in its function. Thus as it uninstalls software. Files, logs, bits & pieces are left everywhere that are causing issues with my evaluation of software products.

I've looked many places, I may have overlooked it. It seems difficult to find this type of program
    anymore.

Does anyone know of a product that will do the real thing when installing/uninstalling Windows 7 Software?

    Thank you,
    Areal Person

I have heard good things about Deep Freeze: http://www.faronics.com/products/deep-freeze

Here are some user reviews (they appear to be legitimate): https://www.capterra.com/p/32308/Deep-Freeze/

Another approach you could take is to install Virtual Machine software, install Windows 7 in a virtual machine, and then do your installs and testing in the virtual machine. If you make a copy of the Windows 7 virtual machine profile before running it, and you want to get back to where you were prior to doing the installs and testing, all you need to do is copy the old profile back over the new profile. Of course, a virtual machine is not identical to a real computer, but it will be close enough most of the time.
