W7 Pro 32 bit .JPG association missing.

I just updated Photoscape 3.7 as I have done many times in the last 10-12 yr. Tried to opean a .jpg file to no avail. Upon further checking, I found the .jpg association was missing. Photoscape was associated with .JFIF ext???

Checked my other PC which is configured identically to my laptop,.jpg ext is associated with Photoscape. See image below.

Q: How do I get a .jpg assocation loaded onto my laptop. Never came across this in 30 yr of PC Win use. Does anyone have an answer/solution?

Regards,

klxdrt

Yes, it is the file format for .jpeg. This Wikipedia info might help you, as will the other one.

Association
So this is something I know I do (why? I don't know...). Do people associate others on this forum with their avatars? I know I do. Like I always picture Shawn as this alien guy, and John as Dr.Evil. Some of the others, I just always see them like that... Anyone else do this? ~Lordbob
