Can a kind soul do me a favor?

Hi all,

Excuse me if I am posting this on a wrong forum section. If that is the case, please kindly move it to the right place.

I have been using this "Gmail Checker" gadget (downloadable on link below) for many year and it has proven very useful to check new mails at a glance when using Windows Vista or 7. There is no other gadget with similar features.

However, Google has updated something that I don't know that made this simple gadget stop working. Its developer won't care about it anymore. It uses the Gmail Atom Feed feature to fetch new e-mails via RSS which is still working even today at Gmail when logging at:
Unauthorized

So if this Gmail feature still works, then this gadget can also still works if fixed.

Could a kind soul look into this gadget code and upload a fixed version, please? I have no clue on how to do this.

I have been using Trillian for years, and there's Digsby. Check those out as an alternative. In Gmail you may have to allow less secure Apps. https://support.google.com/cloudiden.../6260879?hl=en

The server connections are:

Username: your email address

Incoming server: imap.googlemail.com

You add an IMAP account in Trillian. This will then fetch emails.

Most of these still work Google changed security so you have to login to Google and allow the app or it will be blocked
