    Password Manager free

Does anyone know of a good free password manager. I am using Lastpass at present, I am not crazy about it because it is so inconsistent.

    A little help please.

Been using Keepass myself. And there's the App for your phone based on it called KeepasstoAndroid which can use your database. Keepass doesn't use the cloud which can be good in terms of security. But if you use Keepass you should backup its database to several sources. I do this myself. It's stored on a DVD/RW disk stored in my fireproof safe, on my local FTP server and in the cloud as well as on all of my computers. I encrypt yet again with 7Zip using an SFX archive.

To find the database go to the Keepass install directory and find the .kdbx file. That's the database.

I had problems getting Keepass installed and setup. I may give it another try later, but for now I have just uninstalled it using Revo uninstaller..

Thanks z3r010 I will take a look at that one also.

FWIW, I've been using Bitwarden (paid) for over a year now after switching from Lastpass, which became increasingly problematic. As z3r010 mentioned, Bitwarden is free, and there is also the option of being a paying customer as well, which provides some additional benefits, such as, priority tech support. Been very satisfied with it thus far.
    Cheers!

You get it from here? Downloads - KeePass

    There's also a portable version.

I may just be stupid. I installed Bitwarden (free version)and signed up and got a vault. I then setup this site with user name and password.

Bitwarden will open this site from the installed software but it does not sign me in.

    What am I doing wrong?

I have used Keepass for a long time. The most important reason I choose Keepass is that it's free and it keeps updating frequently.
