    Software for backlit keyboard

My Dell E6430 didn't come with a backlit keyboard, it also didn't come with the software to manage a replacement backlit keyboard, should I want to install one. It's almost as easy to change the keyboard as it is to change the battery. So... purchasing a backlit keyboard, and installing it is fun and easy.

Problem is: It will work, each time you touch the keys, it comes on, and you can set the brightness. However, it will turn off after about 4 seconds .. until you touch the keys again.

I would like it to stay on, until I turn it off. Dell made that possible if you install a special driver: "Dell Feature Enhancement Pack" You can find it in the drivers available for your service tag, but only if your computer originally had a Backlit keyboard. If you uncheck the search by service tag, and search "Dell Feature Enhancement Pack" This driver will pop up, If you install it, you will now be able to control the keyboard to work the way you want it to.

My question: Is it really that easy? The BIOS is A23, it has some limited reference to backlit keyboard, even tho my PC never had one before. Can I install this driver without screwing something up? Which means is this driver going to OK for the Latitude E6430 ?

    Thanks much, Regards, Michael
