    Downloader Manager

Can I get some opinions on Downloaders, specifically for iso's?

Used to use DownThemAll in Firefox which was beautifully simple with a nice UI.

I tried a Chrome Extension I cannot find the name of now but didn't like it. Had some weird issues while using it. It's still on one of my other computers and will name it when I see it.

Thanks Vineet, I've tried the first one an didn't like it. Mostly because I could not figure out how to use it well, and set it up properly.

The second one looks good! Allows for this:
Internet Download Manager can accelerate downloads by up to 5 times due to its intelligent dynamic file segmentation technology. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance.
I'm looking at this one now also because it comes in the Chrome App Store. But it don't boast download exceleration.

    Hi Nasty,
    Greets,
You have triggered a good discussion & I appreciate it.
No doubt IDM is best & in most conditions works out of the box.
But FDM has been also doing good for me in 90% cases. I let it catch downloads directly from chrome. I never use it for batch downloads & optimized it for single download. It does pretty much the same thing to break a download into small parts & download them simultaneously as you mentioned about IDM. Get into settings & try out the things. I was interested what was the exact problem ?
I had problem where it was not possible to resume download in some cases but when i added the same link again to download, FDM instantly offered to resume the download & things got done well.
I would like to warn that one should have faith in chrome store apps with multiple recommendations. Don't know about that one in particular ?
Like DownThemAll, another popular Firefox download manager extension is FlashGot.
I think some other links may be useful

Another recommendation from a Senior : JDownloader

Don't remember, but it is not super intuitive, and I'm admittedly not good with goofy software.

This is a little confusing, do you mean chrome store apps that have a good rep are actually good? Meaning we can believe it is good because it is from Chrome store and many good reps?

Your comment triggered a thought, I should use Firefox for my downloads! Like I did when DownThemAll was alive. This is because I love Chrome, and don't want to mess it up or overload it will addons. My last download went fine just from Chrome with no addon, but sometimes it is slow. Thanks!

No, I don't mean that, sorry for the confusion. I meant some recommendations from seniors here!

    Thanks & Regards. ...

My personal preference is Slimjet. I use it's built in DLM. Plus Slimjet is over and above Chrome. Although it's built on the Chrome open source but offers so much more. Turbocharged Download Manager
