Get Rid PreInstalled ASUS Support on Dell PC?????

Hi.. I am running WIN7 Prof on an old Dell Inspiron 620 PC. When I first got the PC, I cleaned it of all bloatware and crapware. However, when downloading the new ADW Cleaner, I noticed it found "preinstalled ASUS support". ASUS is unfamiliar to me and if it is not needed, I would like to remove it.

ADW also found Dell Photo Stage, which I use and would like to keep.

If anyone is familiar with this ASUS support, please let me know if I can safely get rid of it.

Thanks

I am also getting the same behavior of the latest version of Malwarebytes Adwcleaner detecting "preinstalled ASUS support" on my family's Dell Inspiron 620 desktop computer (used to have Win7 home premium but upgraded it to Win7 Ultimate edition a few years ago). At first I let Adwcleaner remove it, but then I realized it may actually belong to a component from a Conexant HD Audio driver package built for the Inspiron 620, so I restored it.

so I think it's a possible "false positive" for Adwcleaner.

report this encounter in the Malwarebytes forums in the Adwcleaner section and see what they advise to do with it:

Thanks for comeback, I mulled it over and decided to keep it as well. Just curious how you associated ASUS with Conexant. Scans of my registry, folders, showed no ASUS anywhere.

What has happened to Asus support?
They were pretty good a year or so ago. Now they don't even respond to support issues whether from the forum or from their webform.
