I forgot the name of a program, it's concerned with dualbooting.

Hello! Long time no see, Seven Forums!

My Samsung laptop is becoming quite old and well advanced in age. And so I am planning to buy a new laptop that is much more capable than this one. Only problem is that 99% of all laptops have moved on to Windows 10. I don't want that, I've heard a lot of things regarding Windows 10's performance and resource management, not to mention the bloatware that Windows Update tries to cram into the laptop. And so, once I get my new laptop, I plan to downgrade from Windows 10 to 7 Ultimate.

The Software
Description: The software window is the shape of a vertical rectangle, IIRC, it also has two tabs. One tab is designated for installing Windows 95/98/XP and I think vista as well?... The second is designated for installing Windows 7/8/8.1 and I think the creator updated it to include Windows 10. The software checks for BIOS, MBR and some other acronym/term. When the checks return positive, it indicates that positive result in form of green check marks, if negative, in red circles.

The software doesn't make use of any external storage devices (USB, Pen drive, HDD...etc), rather it directly installs the Windows image to the partition the user specifies, and creates a new entry in the Boot Menu.

Please feel free to ask more questions if I wasn't specific enough. Thanks in advance

win 8 32 bit

Welcome to the forum. Some of the old software is way out of date and you would struggle to do anything or get any drivers. The more modern one will be pirated copies and we don't support pirated software a lot of these disk came with free things like virus.

The best bet is to try 10 before you condem it on someone else's say so second before you think of putting an old windows on it you need to be sure you can get drivers for it as they may not be available for old windows. Your other options would be to use Linux

I don't know about the program you described, but this might help. EasyBCD - NeoSmart Technologies

Could have swore it was free at one time.
