Compare DLLs

I'm looking for a program that can compare two DLLs. The programs I tried don't work, and the others just show hex which is not what I need.

Are you talking about decompiling, then compare the contents/scripts of the two files, and then re-compiling?

No. I'd like to have an interface that shows the driver contents much like how Resource Hacker shows the driver contents.

This might be of use [I have not used them personally] => How to compare two .net dlls files.

SIW2 might be able to help you on this or at least advise you of some software that will be able to do this!

I tried dotpeak, but I couldn't get it to decompile my DLL. Though, that may be different. I'll try this a little latter.

Well, tried dotpeak and it's a no go. Wouldn't read the driver.

Hi F22 Simpilot,

Funny how things work!

SIW2 is helping a member in another thread with a problem and has posted a link to something that I think might be able to assist you with your question => Universal Extractor 2 | Bioruebe.com. If you read the whole thread it might be what you are after!

I hope this helps!

Paint Shop Pro X2 and dlls
New to this...I hope I have posted in the correct place. I have just installed PSPX2 on my new Toshiba laptop 32 bit Windows 7 Home Premium. I have installed 10 dlls given to me specifically for Windows 7, placed them in C Drive System and System 32, as advised. One of them is "at ASP File"....

Restore DLLs from other edition?
I recently downgraded from Ultimate to Home Premium (Both 7 x64). Instead of re-editing some DLLs I have replaced, can I just restore them using Norton Ghost? (shell32.dll, imageres.dll, and shellbrd.dll)
