Does Windows Photo Viewer in Win7 have any key commands?

I am looking for an easy way to:

1. Jump forward or back when displaying views without having to use the arrows keys (which lock up if you try to hold them down too long)?

2. Is there an easier way to delete the views that appear in the TaskManager besides highlighting the range which still requires you to press the delete key for each individual view?

You can close multiple instances of Photo Viewer. Just right-click on the Photo Viewer taskbar icon and select "Close All Windows":

iko22,

Not sure what a Photo Viewer taskbar icon looks like.
The only icons I have in the Task Manager or the Task Bar at the bottom are of the individual pics.
I'm on Win7-Pro.

Please clarify

Hello robls,

sorry for any confusion. I did mean the Taskbar and not Task Manager.

Please clarify
Hover the mouse over the icon, then press right-mouse click and select "Close all Windows"

Sorry but the only icons like that are for each pic view as I open them.
I have never seen an icon just for the viewer itself.

Also, the Properties for the Notification Area Icons doesn't even list the Windows Photo Viewer among the list of icons that can be selected.

Each pic listed in the Task Mgr definitely says WPV (spelled out of course).

If I right click on a pic icon in the Task Bar the only choice is Close Window.

Also a search for the WPV shows no results.

How do I get a icon for the general WPV when I have none.

Help!

The icon appears on the Taskbar when the program is launched.

Perhaps your computer has disabled Taskbar Button Grouping ? If you want to check that it is Enabled (To Always Group Taskbar Buttons), follow the tutorial in the web link.

I found the WPV in the following and sent a shortcut to the desktop.

C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe “%ProgramFiles%\Windows Photo Viewer\PhotoViewer.dll”, ImageView_Fullscreen

Unfortunately, when clicking on the shortcut, nothing happens.

As far as the link you sent, the Properties don't quite match with the tutorial.

This is getting kind of complicated. I might just have to pass on this until the next time I have a tech guy here.

Thanks
