Cannot Drag&Drop Files from a WinRar Window

I can drag files from Explorer to WinRar or from the Desktop to WinRar, however I cannot drag and drop any files from WinRar onto the Desktop or into Explorer. I used to be able to do it but all of a sudden it stopped working. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling WinRar to see if it would do anything but it didn't, this issue has persisted through restarts and shut downs. I use Windows 7 and the latest version of WinRar.

Maybe you could ask at the winrar forum. I think most people here use 7zip.

Why? What's the preference for using 7zip rather than WinRar?

Good question, I'm going to look into WinRar and compare. And for some time, I've gotten "not supported" in a few 7zip places. I will be watching and learning, maybe the problem goes higher than your WinRar and my 7zip, maybe up into our respective w7?

I can't speak for anyone else. I like the formats it handles - including .wim .vhd and .esd for example. It does a good job.

I will start a 7zip-w7 thread later on, I also like using 7zip!

Been using 7z for a long time. I can open XPI extension files, encrypt files in a self executing SFX archive, the whole nine yards. Pus, it's free. It will open a rar, but not create them since that's a proprietary format. And the 7z format compresses pretty good.
