Windows Photo Viewer - edit 'open' list?

Does anyone know how I can remove some of the options from the drop-down list?

Tried adding a program to the list, then searching my C drive for all files changed at that moment. Same with the registry. Nothing (relevant) came up in either case.... only the ntuser.dat file came up as a candidate (but isn't that basically the user part of the registry?).

    Thanks.

Perhaps the only way to remove a program ffrom the list, would be to remove the file association associated with that program - but then you would not be able to use that particular program to edit that file type, even outside of Photo Viewer.

Yes, I don't want to remove file associations, globally, as it were. WPV immediately remembers any programmes added to the 'open' list, so Windows must be storing the information somewhere.
