Running cmd with admin rights...

gives me no admin rights... I've got an application that runs from console and requires administrator rights. I run command line from the start menu by right clicking and choosing "run as administrator". I run the app from there and I get an error saying that this app requires administrative rights to run properly. How do you run the command line with administrative rights then if not by running it with administrative rights??

Hi and welcome Beholder

I hate to ask but when you right click cmd does it say administrator on the top like this pic?

Hello Beholder,

In addition to what you are doing, be sure to also use Compatibility Mode on the apps exe file and have the Run this program as an administrator box checked for it.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
