I want to get rid of Skype from my Windows 7. Could you please recommend a good alternative to Skype. Preferably light weight and not so bloated as Skype and with good security. I only need simple Video calling with one other person. Conference calling is not necessary.

Thank you for this google search link. There are so many on the internet that I find it difficult to choose. That is actually the reason I posted here. I am hoping someone can make some recommendations, perhaps with personal experience or even based on second hand knowledge.

They have had to release some Info. about people, but it was only very minor meta data of which they only had access to. I've researched many text Apps and Threema seems to be pretty damn secure versus the others.

Stay far away from Whatsapp, Telegram and the others. If I can remember right, both Telegram and Signal had flaws where the CIA was able to access their chat services somehow.
