    Is "Jetclean" bugged

    Hello Friends
last night my 7 had a fit shutting down, screen said 3 times programs needed to close, blinked twice then closed.
this morning (my fav time for a comp screw up) Avast goes berserk and rips "jet clean" out for having bugs.
tonight I turn on my 7 and some notice by passes the site I am at and says "a new version of jet clean is available"
in a tiny new window in the middle of the screen. Please note - in the past it has always given a choice, to move up
But we live in strange times, where humans morph in to 6 ft tall cock roaches, buy up web services with a good reputation and turn them into roach bots over night.

    1. How did they just come in and pop a notice up on my screen after I deleted it early in the day.
    2. has anybody Kerperski checked this new "You got no frigging choice so open up wide for this version.

P.S. somebody please buy "Admin Brink" a sun tanning lamp.

    Humbly thankful for your help.

    Mr. Davis

It would appear another good company has gone to hell.
I went to down load the forced new version and the new one disappears into my 7 machine where you can not find it.
so i put it into a file just for new down loads.
I, found that copy, but it would not open cause I don't have admin privilege suddenly.
this should be illegal for folks to have to put up with.

UPDATE it appears AVAST is going to grab it as a lethal program and lock box it every-time I down load it.
thats where it has been disappearing when i download it.
Avast is a bloated program but they are a effective bloated program.
I have sent this link to blue sprig the folks who make jet clean, they had a flawless reputation,
lets pray they prove my rig is busted, and are still great folks or its-

    good by jet clean

Why do you wish to clean your registry? If it ain't broke don't try to fix it.

Registry cleaners don't really help a lot and can cause more problems than they fix. Stay away from them.

    hello townsbg
I may be mis-understanding the term registry cleaner
In 8 years all jet clean did was make my gates 7 run much much faster, ZERO problems ever. Period.
one thing is for sure, CC cleaner which i put in yesterday,
is a dark rabbit hole, time waster, way too many options to delete too much stuff,,,,for normal people who wanna get something done and run.
I am trying to clear things up with the folks at jet clean to reinstall a purchase copy, which maybe avast will not destroy as it does now with the free version, I Still wanna know how jet clean ripped out my old copy only to force feed me the new one, which Avast yanked out of my system ASAP. maybe jet clean went dirty, like most of this stuff does when bought out by evil forces.

They might have an automatic downloader. If I where you I'd turn off the register cleaner portion.

Townsbg, thanks for your input, I am told Reg. Cleaners also remove a lot the the info that info rapist sites like to get on your comp habits and browsing like "Adobe" do you feel this is true??.
EVERYBODY please note the name of the thread is "Jet Clean Bugged"
I was curious how they yanked a program from my Gates 7, without my permission. my auto updates if OFF
my real fright is unguarded "Telemetry" to spy on folks.
I understand most folks don't care if their shorts get rifled as long as they get to use a comp, but I do, dumb as my life is, its my life.

    Question.
If Avast Quarantines a bug in a program, can I just yank the bug and then after use the sterilized program without fear.

It would be much safer to use Windows 7 built in disk cleanup program

Here is a copy of disk cleanup very low disk batch script I use.

    Title Disk-Cleanup VeryLowDisk
    cls
    start cleanmgr /verylowdisk & exit

Registry cleaners just clear the registry of entries that it thinks aren't used anymore such as remnants of uninstalled programs that don't clean up after themselves. The concept has nothing inherently do with programs that spy on you although a program might tack that on. Jet Clean does seem to do more than clean the registry. It looks like it also cleans out temp files and that is likely what you are seeing as performance boosting. Now I wasn't there and I know nothing of that program so I don't know why it updated as you seem so intent on figuring out why. Maybe your AVS (which doesn't seem to like it) damaged it and in the process of repairing itself it installed a fresh, updated copy. Who care? Frankly it looks like a fishy program to me and I still think if you are so intent upon using it you uncheck the registry cleaning options. They aren't really shown to help and can damage the system. For a subjective view you might want to read these:

The fact that it was flagged by Kerperski is highly suspicious. Perhaps they know something about it that you don't.

    Thank you townsbg
this is one of the best answers i have received at this forum. how ever I did not say Kerperski jailed it, I was asking if
someone had tried it or filtered it on Mr. Kerperski's program, he being one of my hero's who last time i looked posted snowy wilderness pictures at his site instead of comp stuff.
jetclean did not update it self, it came in without my permission and yanked old "Jetclean" program out, even desk top quick button. 5 min's ? later when i could get a news site up, it came in on my screen and over rided my comp screen and the news I was reading and announced the new version was available, which was a redirect in reality, seeing the desk top icon earlier GONE, I clicked the new Jet C bubble on my screen to see what the fuss was about, got there, clicked up-date with fear, then it re-directed again to "Major geeks" Note-there were 3 major geeks versions of the new download, one direct from jet clean and 2 (I think?) from major geeks I downloaded, which one of I forget, and thats when AVAST went berserk, took me off site and said it had malware and said/showed some string of words and #'s blocked in red. and I chimed in here.

The good of all this, I learned a lot about reg. cleaners-THANK YOU ALL and has pit falls thankfully i never fell victim of/to, I also see now jet clean was doing many other things then just lightly cleaning the registry, like pulling at times 400 MB's of junk with a process called "RAM CLEAN" some days I would use comp with out first running the ram clean
in jetclean, and comp ran so slow it was UN-dignifiying to even use.
CC Cleaner offers too many ways to screw your computer up, even warns you as such, with warning bubbles that say "you have clicked such and such for removal, this will stop such and such and you might be sorry"
Jet clean can run 8 years with all boxes clicked and used everyday with never a glitch till the other day.
if "Avast" is exerting a false negative on me, to prove its great worth $$$$ and might, I may try to remove the bug
with avast if I have that option and run jet clean,-clean, which i was told Kerperski will perform for you, but is a program I can not afford.
    Lastly thanks and-
