Adobe... Acrobat? Photoshop??
Did you just uninstall this program? Which Adobe product is it?
Are you trying to install a new version or something?
Hi
couple years back you posted about Adobe Flash player.....
If you STILL have it, it can be removed via Programs/Features
note
there may still be a Scheduled Task associated with it, if it was not completly removed
Control Panel>>Administration tasks>> Scheduled Tasks.... local Highlight if present RIGHT click .... delete
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. It is Adobe acrobat reader which I am using to open adobe documents. I don't want to delete it but I am getting regularly messages to delete the software because they stopped supporting it. Now I am using the task manager (Ctr+Alt+del) to stop it and wondering if there is a way to prevent it from coming.
Kind regards,
Anne
Do you just read PDFs or also manipulate them? If the former just use Sumatra. If you need to manipulate PDFs I personally use PDF-Xchange. There's also FoxIt.
Once you use a new PDF reader/editor ditch Acrobat. It's not the greatest in my opinion and was always an over bloated pile... Actually, Adobe is a BS company anyway with their annual fee crap just like Microsoft Office. Hate how everything is an annual fee anymore. If I see that I run. I mean software wise. I'm already nickle and dimed for things let alone have to pay annual fees for software.
Hello F22 Simpilot,
Many thanks for the information. Like you I get tired from the new way of treating customers with the annual fee. We pay lots of money to buy the software and then every year we have to pay extra! Extreme greed!
About the PDFs I would like to have software to read and also manipulate them, it will be great if it is free software. Hope you know a good one.
Thanks & regards,
Anne
Well, did some searching for a FOSS (Free Open Source Software) alternative and could only find Okular that may fit the bill. (No pun intended) Okular - The Universal Document Viewer
I've never used it and may just go on ahead and try, but looks promising for a free PDF viewer and annotator and whatnot.
What I don't like is they are offering the download at the stupid Windows Play Store which in my opinion goes against the whole idea of FOSS and/or privacy. A lot of software one day will be Windows Play Store only and now Microsoft REALLY owns your computer. But there will be those that resist so all hope is not lost.
You want the .exe here and as of this post named okular-22.12.0-1229-windows-cl-msvc2019-x86_64.exe Of course no one is stopping you from using the Windows Play Store if you run 10 or 11.
I'm actually not sure if Okular will run in 7 or not. I can't download it right now because the VPN I'm using is a slow loris. I will latter though.

Here's a slow loris.
Here's a tiny one.
Off topic.
To think we have to consume each other for sustenance. I don't trust this creation...

On the computer front, slow loris is actually a script for Nmap.... But I'm sure you knew that. LOL!
