WinZip latest version for Windows 7?

Anyone know which latest version of WinZip will run on W7?
Note this is a specific inquiry about WinZip. Not WinRar or any other similar apps. Not even a Winzip Suite, Just a plain, simple WinZip.
    Thanks
NOTE: If you have it on your own W7 and it works OK, open it, go to Help\About and it'll show your version.

I've got WinZip 9 installed. Never tried to update it, so I don't know whether or not a later version might also work.

SiliconBeaver: Thanks for the offer. Yes, I'm interested to try v8 but I think it's a fairly old version. As you can see from dg1261's post, he's using v9 and its description shows it was compiled in February 2004. So v8 is probably before that date.
Actually, I found an online comment from Corel, the outfit that currently owns WinZip, which states that the latest version that will run on W7 is v26. However, from what I've seen about the later versions (AFAIK 27,28,29) is that the zip function is just part of a larger app - a suite of apps, actually, and they're very expensive, like $U86 for v29 Pro.
Maybe someone else can comment on that?

EDIT: Thanks for comments. I gave up on WinZip and went back to WinRar.
    Happy New Year!

    per WinZip wiki

WinZip 1.0 was released in April 1991 as a graphical user interface (GUI) front-end for PKZIP.[5]
Former WinZip icon From version 6.0 until version 9.0, registered users could download the newest versions of the software, enter their original registration information or install over the top of their existing registered version, and thereby obtain a free upgrade. This upgrade scheme was discontinued as of version 10.0.[6]
