nope i used mcafee from comcast with no problems, You might want to download the mcafee removal tool and reinstall or better yet use something thats less of a resource hog like Comodo firewall and avast antivirus, Both are free.

My Dell with Win 7 came with a McAfee 30 day free trial. I uninstalled it using just the control panel uninstall and then I downloaded the Cox Cable version of McAfee and installed that. That install put a big McAfee icon on the upper left of my desktop and all was good. My suggestion is to uninstall cable McAfee and reinstall with a new download. If that fails you can always buy or download a pay copy from McAfee.

Like I had mentioned before I would suggest comodo Firewall and avast antivirus. go look at plenty of online tests and macafee falls short on catching alot of things these other 2 free products catch plus they use less of your computers resources.

i had this problem on another machine, ended up doing away with the mcafee, now, up till just yesterday, i have used mcafee on this pc, i found it to be annoying and slow when running updates/scans, so i did away with it again, also did away with malwarebytes antimalware tool, got myself Microsoft Security Essentials which monitors both spyware and viruses in real time, and is alot cleaner, quicker, and runs quieter in the background then mcafee did, i'm loving it. i too am a free mcafee comcast subscriber, but its just too slow anymore, need better, windows 7 firewall in place, got my UAC set, i'm confortable with my security.
