I used plenty of tweaks and service edits in Vista just to make it tolerable. However, I have found that Windows 7 needs NO tweaking as it is perfectly configured to begin with.

Especially if you have just started using it, don't get caught in the trap where you continue tweaking obsessions born of Vista. I found out a month into beta that service edits are redundant in Win7 since all but mandatory services are set on fast triggers. I saw almost every tweak I tried be bettered by leaving the Windows 7 feature at default.

This is speaking from over a year's experience with Windows 7, almost all of that with NO tweaks.

Enjoy Windows 7, the greatest invention since the computer.

    Hello Jamie,

It's a standalone exe file, so there is nothing to install for this program 7 Taskbar Tweaker. Once you have downloaded the 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) version of the program in a RAR file, you would just open the RAR file and extract the EXE file, then run the EXE file. Windows 7 does not support RAR files by default, so you will need to install a free program like 7-Zip (latest beta version) to be able to open the RAR file.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Thanx, Brink, I figured it out. I found it as the RAR and wasn't sure if that was a zip-type file. I got it expanded and installed - and am very happy with it. :)
