Where did you get your copy of Windows from? And did you do an upgrade or clean install?

Could be the program is just incompatible. You can try to install in compatibility mode.

You are pretty much on your own with UXstyle Core..... you may want to check the forums there.

But if you do decide to use UXstyle Core,,, don't be shocked if your Win7 breaks.

    Nuke and Reload.

I recently went through the same thing. A Repair Install should fix it. Sometimes the Windows Installer file gets corrupted, and then you can't install or uninstall any programs that use it. Some folks around here think it happens when files are patched/modified to install custom themes, icons, start orbs, etc... and I think they are right.

Did you use any other Uxtheme patcher in the past? The one you are trying to install above shouldn't cause the problem, it is a work-around, not a patch.

Do you perform all your installs from the My Documents folder?

I'd suggest placing it on the desktop

It's a borked copy of Windows. Only download from Microsoft or use the official DVD if you haven't/aren't already.

Yes,, it is borked, because if you look at the screen shot is says UxStyle Core Beta Setup

The UxTheme stuff has a tendency to hose system files during patching them
When it works, it's great,, when it doesn't be prepared to nuke and reload
Ofcourse repairing is an option that sometimes works, but you never know if the system will remain stable.
