Windows 7: WinZip 8.1

Win 7
WinZip 8.1

I'm having trouble using WinZip version 8.1 under Win7.

Under XP, WinZip has two nice features:

- the context (right click) menu includes "Extract to current folder"

- it is possible to drag-and-drop folders onto a .zip file

Both of these features are inoperable in Win7. The context menu for WinZip just isn't there at all, and drag-and-drop doesn't function. The OS just ignores my attempts to drop a folder on the archive. Is there a way to get these to function?

From the winzip website: "
WinZip versions earlier than WinZip 12.1 have not been tested with and are not recommended to be used with Windows 7."

Do I need to install Winzip?,or does Windows 7 have its own zip to unzip files?, I do not want to install Winzip if I don't need it.Thank You.
WinZip 12.1
I found that with WinZip 12.1 if I select more than 16 files the right click context menu does not list WinZip. With 16 or fewer files the WinZip icon appears in the menu. (FYI - I had the same problem with version 12.0) I just downloaded and installed the latest release 12.1 Build 8519 but...
