    PCSync and WinSxS folder security

    Hello, I am having a a problem with Windows 7 64 bits.
I am trying to install a software (PCSync for my cell phone Motorizr Z8) but everytime i try to install it, the next error message is being shown:

Product: Motorola PcSync -- Error 1303.The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.MSXML2_6bd6b9abf345378f_4.20.9818.0_x-ww_8ff50c5d. The installation cannot continue. Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator.

These are the alternatives i've tried:
    - My user IS in fact administrator
    - I've tried running this program as an administrator ("Run as administrator") and with Windows Vista compatibility mode but none of these things solved the problem.
    - I know it's dangerous, but i've tried to modify winsxs security but it has been literally IMPOSIBLE to change; not even in windows safe mode - what i was trying was granting Administrator group Full control access to this folder, but just couldn't figure out how to do it!

Could someone help me, pleezz!?? I'm kinda desperated!

    Thanks in advance!
    Silvio.

The application you are trying to use should not even be trying to access the WinSxS folder, nor should you even attempt to change the permissions of it! You should contact Motorola about this problem, immediately.

Where did you get the software? Could be a virus.

I don't think the software contained a virus since it was the software that came with the installation CD: which came to be incompatible with 64-bits OS'.

After a looooooooooot of research, I could find the appropriate software: drivers ans PCSync tool; both compatible with Windows 7 64 bits.

    Thank you so much anyway!
