Can You Over Ride Windows Live

My computer is being held hostage by Windows Live. From my ability to message to email. All options are gone to choose which default mail/news server you WANT to use and are replaced by Windows Live. I'm truly disappoint in Windows7 from top to bottom.

If anyone knows how to over ride the default programs would you please let me know....


P.S. Hopefully someone will realize just how foolish this OS is. Such a let down from being told how "User" friendly it was suppose to be. As of now it is nothing short of a pain in my arse!

Unfortunately my last point of restore is after the installation of Windows 7. Not sure how to get back to Vista without loosing all my information. For that matter I'm not sure if I format the hard drive if it will take me back to Vista (that I wasn't crazy about either)

Usually not a problem, W7 is much better about this. But it sounds like something has gone wrong in your system, because that is not normal behavior for W7. System restore seems like a very good choice in this case.
I removed Windows Live email myself, found that I had to rerun the Windows live installation to find the option of removing mail. There is no Windows Live email program listed in Programs and Features.

You may need to do a clean install of Win7. It sounds like the problem is coming from an upgrade from Vista to Win7. Clean install I believe is known as Custom install. Much better that way, less problems, such as the one you are having.

You can go into Windows Essentials and remove programs you don't want to use but in the process you also get a warning message not to do this as the entire thing is codependent on each program. If you remove it you also loose NETFrame and SQL as well as a few other components that your OS needs to run smoothly. Windows 7 had me in tears yesterday!!! I absolutely hate it!!!!!

Once I can figure out how to remove it there will NEVER be a re-installation!!!!!
