Still bloatware as usual, 90MB+ when viewing PDFs

It seems we have no choice actually. I also love Foxit Reader (I disable the Ask toolbar / install) but Adobe is simply making pdf's too complicated. If you need to do even quasi commercial stuff, digital signing, etc. you need adobe reader, no other pdf reader works.

And BTW, the latest Reader X crashed several times and on shutdown gives program not responding... The more the bloat, the more the bugs, I guess.

    Adobe stuff

Have had sooooo many problems with adobe stuff on both machines over the last few months ie. constant reminders to update and then finding the 64bit isn't available. Changed to IE 32bit and same sort of thing happening.

Now have Flash Player 10 ActiveX 10.1.102.64, Reader "X" 10.0.0, and AIR 2.5.1.17730 which are working but am wondering seeing as you fellows in the US are usually ahead of us in Oz are these the current versions.

Looking south to the land down under my flash player is the same as yours.
I don't use the bloated Adobe Reader.....Foxit Reader is my choice.

If you want to stay with an x64 based browser, ICit2lol, use PDF-Xchange as a 64 bit plug-in or ActiveX control and Adobe Square as a 64 bit plug-in or ActiveX control. I use them with FF 4.0b9pre x64 and tested them on IE9 x64 - they work splendidly on both browsers. The PDF-Xchange viewer is especially impressive, and free.

If you have any further question please don't hesitate to ask.

Merry Christmas to you, ICit2lol! :)

Hiyya Brink Just seen your post re Adobe Reader 10.0.0.1
Can you let me know where you got this from as I cannot find here in Australia I can only access the one 10.0.0 version.

Have tried the official site (really don't feel happy with third party links mate cos of probs in the past) but it just tells me I have the current ver.

No mike I had to go back to the 32bit IE as I was getting no end of problems happening and ahd to do a factory default to clear it all up. Plus my Kaspersky was doing it's dummy spit re Adobe vunerabilities uisng the 64bit IE.

Did you download it and install? It says 1000, but if you hover over the downloaded installer, it will show the 10.0.0.1 version mark there.

I got it from the link in the first post. Windows 7- English - Reader X.
