Adobe have not released a 64-bit version of flash player as yet. You still have to use 32-bit browsers to view flash content.

Still waiting for a 64-bit Flash Player
As for future plans, the company says only, "We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1."

the only thing stopping me from using a 64bit IE and/or FF is this flash player.

That's the main reason I'm not using it either.
I'm kind of surprised that MS doesn't have Silverlight in x64 yet either.

There are some add-ons that won't work with IE8 x64...I use WOT and it's only good for 32-bit.
I know site advisor works well with x64 though.

I feel the same way. I have been waiting for a working Flash Player for 64 bit for 2 years now. Hopefully it wont be that much longer. They have one for Linux! :-(

What bugs me though.. is I am surprised no one has made a working Adobe Flash Player Alternative for 64 bit yet. If you wanted an alternative almost anything else someone has made it.

Alternative Real Player, alternative Quicktime, you name it, it's out there.

i find it kinda strange that a x64-bit flashplayer (plug-in) hasn't been developed yet for IE, or FF, but yet for Linux, or Mac, even if beta.
