    Changing Default Installation Folders

Is there a post on how to successfully change the default installation directory for 64bit Windows? I have changed the 2 registry settings in:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\
    - ProgramFilesDir
    - ProgramFilesDir (x86)

However, when I install software it still defaults to C:\Program Files (x86) or C:\Program Files.

I have 2 hard drives and the one windows is installed on is a 32GB SSD, and I think eventually it will fill up if all applications are installed there. I'm trying to change it to my 150GB 10k RPM drive F:\Applications and F:\Applications (x86)

    Please help!

Shouldn't need to do any of that as most programs should have custom install option that will allow you to change where to install it to. About the only things that should and/or need to be installed to the system drive are drivers and any anti-virus/anti/spyware applications.
