Windows cannot install the specified device error

I am running windows 7 64bit and have started getting "windows cannot start the specified device, file or path." error messages everytime I try to open a program that is 32bit. The 64 bit programs are no problem. It just started after I ran Malwarebytes. I am the only user on this computer, so all programs are opened as an administrator. I tried to open a new user account to see if my UAC was bad, but it won't let me open a new account. I have run Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender and both had no problem shown. What do I need to do to get the 32 bit programs to run?

Click on All Programs and Accessories, then right click on Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator.

    Then sfc /scannow

I found the problem in the programs X86 directory, common folder, authenticom folder. I renamed the folder and the problem went away.
