Strange ITUNES Issue that just popped up.

Ever since I upgraded to 7 my ITUNES has been extremely iffy and acting weird. After my third delete and install no matter what I do the Itunes does not automatically recognize my extremely huge music collection, so I have to drag and drop it all and when I do, anything I add to Itunes music does't "ADD", I have to my self physically drag and drop the music into the "My Music" folder and I cannot figure out why?

    Help?

    Thanks Guys!

****QUICK UPDATE****** It just decided not to recognise an of my music so I am deleting ITUNES completely, maybe some install help? Maybe something that is left on my computer is an issue? I just want Itunes to work properly and IDK how to do that. As you read this I am itunes less.....

Fill out your system specs so that we can trouble shoot more effectively.
    Thanks.

I use an older version of iTunes and it has a checkbox to let iTunes take control. I don't want iTunes to have any control, but you do and so you may have to place checks in these checkboxes under preferences/advanced:

I just say no to iTunes.

If you have an iPod, there are several other programs that will work with them now besides iTunes. Mediamonkey, Winamp, and I think foobar2000 all will work with iPods, and the J. River Media app might as well.

I think I may be confused.

In your itunes, if you go to options/ Add / new Folder/ my Music it should work.

    Is it not adding anything?

Miami, since you re-installed itunes it may have not completely added your existing libraries and play lists. You may have to create new playlists and libraries by using the Itunes/Files/Add Library folder and so on.
Here is a screenshot showing you how to add music folders and playlists, maybe it will help.

    Regards,
    Adrian

OK i got it to work, thanks to ignatzatsonic.

I just had to find the setting, wait ages as all the music was copied and then delete the original, and then wait another age while my IPOD was re synced.
