itunes and quicktime not starting

    itunes and quicktime not starting


    Every time i try to open itunes or quick time nothing happens.
    Se error log below:

    I have tried:
    Msconfig suggestions on Itunes website - not working
    uninstall and reinstall all apple applications - not working
    Used windows compatibility mode (vista and XP) - not working

    I would appreciate any help available as i am not able to sync my iphone any more.

    My computer:
    windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
    Pentium dual core 2.5GHz
    2x72 GB 10.000 rpm (Striped)
    2x400 GB 7,200 rpm (mirrored)
    GeForce GT 7800 Graphics card

    Hi and welcome


    I think you problem may lie in something called DEP> dep or data execution prevention. It is located in your system control panel>advanced settings>performance>dep. Normally it is set for MS applications only. If the all aps button is checked you should change it. If it is correct you can add the apps to the exceptions list. you can also turn it off.     Hi Ken J+,
    First apologies for the delay in replying to your post and thank you for your fast reply however when i tied to add iTunes to the list i got an error message.

    I took your advice and tried version 7.6 and 8.0 but they did not work ether ...

    Did you Turn Off DEP instead of adding the Program ??
