hi, I need help installing Pinnacle Studio 12, i tried their tech support, but it was awful.

about halfway through the actual installation, i get error code 1335, "The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' is corrupt and cannot be used.

I've tried copying the disk to the hard drive and running the installer from there, didn't work. I've also tried booting windows in diagnostic startup with only windows installer enabled, that also didn't work.

any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I have installed Studio 12 and Plus on my Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit many times.

Sounds like the file is corrupted.....

Can you open up the CAB file and see if it is intact (use something like 7Zip or other archiving tool that is compatible with CAB files).....??

It it won't open there, then it won't install. Maybe the DVD is scratched there???

i think my optical drive isn't working correctly, the workaround was to rip the cd to a flash drive on a different computer. then install on my computer from the flash drive...

wrked fine
