    Another Ultramon Replacement

Task Se7en is another Ultramon replacement. It's still under initial development, however, it is capable of showing only buttons for the windows on the same monitor as it is on - as well as adding/removing them from the Windows taskbar as needed.. Ex: Notepad is dragged from monitor A to monitor B > the Notepad taskbar button is removed from Windows taskbar and placed on Task Se7en taskbar. And vice versa.
Task Se7en also uses DWM live thumbnails and matches the current window theme.

Ok great news, so DWM is a standard in WinVista and Se7en and it's using the GPU.

    Edit:
Task Se7en seems to do everything that we want. It's like you copied 2 desktop captures together! (without start button)

Thank you. Currently there is no download available for Task Se7en.
I'm actually working on it as I type this... I'll post a download link when I feel that it's in a decent beta condition. There are a few bugs I want to fix beforehand.

Well, until then I'm doing something NO ONE has ever thought of, and I only found by chance!

Ultramon was installed, moved to Display fusion (forgetting to remove ultramon from the startup list) and now they're combining and working fantasticly together

With just display fusion running, its what you see in the screenshot but applications showing on both primary and secondary monitor.

Ultramon sorts out the taskbar work while display fusion provides the full size task bar. (ultramon itself just has a tiny bar that firefox covers over, useless basicly)

So if anyone owns both programs but is just using one, this may be for you.

Glad you answered your own question - sorry I have been away so much....

That is one sweet looking prototype, dude....I'm gonna nudge Jon to come take a look at it for Display Fusion (I like what yours *looks* like but the functionality of DF vis a vis the price simply cannot be beat - and I have already bought DF :P

    Doesn't it though! Very smooth!

That is something I would never have thought of doing, but if it works I might have to dust off UM 3.0.4 beta and run them together to see what sorts of neat things I can get them to do together....

    Looking for pre-beta testers...

Is anyone interested in testing a pre-beta version of Task Se7en?

If you're interested let me know. This pre-beta will not be bug free and quite likely you'll run into a few snags while using it.
If anyone is interested just let me know.. If there are 5+ willing testers I'll post a link to a pre-beta version, along with a list of known issues, on Monday, May 4, 2009.

** If you know anyone that would be interested in this pre-beta be sure to have them register with this forum and let me know.

*** Known issue #1: At this point, Task Se7en will only work on systems with dual monitors or if assigned to a single secondary monitor (on systems with > 2 monitors).
Single and multi-monitor (>2 monitors) systems will be supported in the future.

    Hi,

I am running Win7 b7100 (RC), I would love to try Se7en and provide some feedback. Does it generate any log files?

    Thanks
