win 7 Photoshop CS4 Exteneded troubles

I have Windows 7 64bit and installed the Photoshop CS4 Exteneded version (both 32 and 64bit) and I can't get the 64 bit to work, and the 32 bit version works great!

I cnat' seem to open any images with photoshop without haveing to start Photoshop first and then open the image. When I right click on an image and select Open with Photoshop CS4, nothing happens.

I tried uninstalling Photoshop CS4 Exteneded and just install the 32bit version but there seems to be no way. I guess I can try installing just Photopshop CS4 and see if that helps.

Any suggestions?

Check in the file associations options to make sure that the Edit with Photoshop CS4 command is linked to the correct executable file, it should be linked to c:/program files/adobe/adobe photoshop cs4/photoshop.exe (on the 32bit version at least).

where do i edit that? I tried pointing to the 32bit version by right clicking selecting "Open with"->"Choose default program", then browsed to the 32bit version and selected that, but nothing seemed to happen. I went into "task manager" and didn't see anything that showed photoshop running.

I'm guessing I'll have to edit this somewhere in the registery.

RAM Troubles
I have here an Acer Aspire T180-UB7Z, and it has a stick of RAM that isn't listed on the RAM manufacturer's website as being compatible with the motherboard. I don't know if this is because they haven't tested this particular stick with this motherboard, or if it is incompatible. Basically, no...

Troubles with Photoshop
Recently, I installed a copy of Photoshop Elements 3.0, which came free with my old Wacom tablet, on my new Windows 7 computer. It works, sort of. There's a weird, glitchy grid. It's hard to describe, so here's a picture. Click! Has anyone seen something like this before? Thanks!
