    Display Issue with DesignShop v9

I have a weird display problem going on and wondering if there are settings I can edit to correct them. I have Windows 7 Home Premium installed on a Dell Inspiron 1545. I am running an embroidery software program, DesignShop v9 from Melco, and when I run the program it does not display any points as I enter them while I am making a design. The program also has a function to draw the design as if it were being sewn out, and that does not work either. I know this sounds like a software issue so far but here where it gets weird. I installed the software on other computers to verify what is going on. On a Vista machine I installed the software from scratch and it worked fine. On another Vista machine I installed the software as an update and it worked fine. I then installed the software on another Windows 7 machine and it worked fine. So on my computer I have installed and re-installed to see if that would fix it, but no luck. So I figure it must be something in the graphic settings. I couldn't find any setting I could adjust. I went into the Control Panel and went into Performance Information and Tools. On that screen I clicked the Re-run the assessment just to see what it would do. Here's what's really weird, while the test is running, all the functions in DesignShop work fine, the points display and the logo draws out fine. As soon as the test is done, things do not work again. What can I change to make things work all the time. I have no clue how to figure out what things during the test would allow the software to work correctly, but then stop once the test is over. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Went through and updated all of the computer drivers and installed DirectX and everything still works like it did before. As long as the assessment is running the software works right, but once it stops it doesn't work. Any other ideas?

Can you disable the aero theme, and then try the program?

One sec, right click the shortcut, then in the compatiblity tab, disable desktop composition. That should achieve the same thing.
